This exciting move brings together Lancaster Scuba Center’s rich history and expertise with GearUp Guide’s extensive ecommerce reach. Together, we’re now simply Lancaster Scuba, a premier destination for all things diving—whether it's gear, training, or travel. The new brand reflects the personality, style, and influence of our founder, Johnny Walker, who has been at the helm of both previous brands with his wife, Gini, for over 30 years.
Our Journey So Far
Lancaster Scuba has a proud heritage, starting as a small dive shop on Greenfield Road in Lancaster, PA, back in 1993. Over the years, we’ve expanded, evolved, and rebranded, adapting to the needs of our community. In 2012, Johnny and Gini brought their son, Zach, into the business to spearhead innovation and growth. This led to the launch of GearUp Guide in 2014, which expanded our business into ecommerce and introduced a wider range of products, including gear for freediving, spearfishing, and snorkeling. Now, with Zach as CEO, we’re continuing to grow and innovate.
What We Offer
The new Lancaster Scuba is all about providing a seamless experience for our customers. Our new slogan, "Gear. Dive. Travel.", sums up our offerings perfectly:
- Gear: We provide an extensive range of top-quality scuba equipment, with services including sales, rentals, and servicing for over 15 different brands.
- Dive: Our PADI certification courses cater to all levels, from beginner to professional, and include specialty courses like Spearfishing.
- Travel: We offer a range of diving trips, from local quarries to tropical destinations like Cozumel, St. Lucia, and Bonaire.
