As a certified diver, there are an endless variety of destinations to explore. Lancaster Scuba Center’s staff and PADI Professionals have a great depth of experience in diving around the globe and will gladly assist you in your underwater adventures. We would like to invite you to join us as we dive the rivers, lakes, and seas of the world. On our Local Diving page, you can find out more about the diving destinations located in our backyard, Southeastern Pennsylvania. You can also check out this page to see where our PADI Professionals will be diving during the coming weeks so that you can join them and log some bottom time. The Domestic Travel page features information on diving in the United States and Canada. All of Lancaster Scuba Center’s group travel to Domestic Dive Sites will be posted on this page. Local Diving

There is a wealth of locations to dive locally in Southeastern Pennsylvania. There are numerous Scuba Diving Lakes that are specifically designed and maintained for use by divers. These Scuba Diving Lakes feature underwater platforms for classes and skill building. The lakes also contain underwater attractions such as submerged boats, planes, construction vehicles, and buoyancy practice courses. The lakes are also home to various and often unique species of local flora and fauna. Many divers go to the lakes nearly every weekend to practice their skills, share camaraderie, and engage in the active and exciting sport of Scuba Diving. One of the most exciting activities to take part in while Scuba Diving is searching for discarded pieces of history left resting in the sand and the mud for us to discover. There are sites all across Southeastern Pennsylvania where you can dive to find old soda and milk bottles, pieces of jewelry, and a vast array of items dating back to the founding of Pennsylvania and even into Pennsylvania’s prehistoric period. We go “crickin”, a term derived to fondly describe this activity, in locations like the Conestoga River, the Susquehanna River, and many other locations. Diving and finding these sites does take some practice, and so we invite you to join us whenever we go “crickin”.

Domestic Travel

Organizing a Scuba Diving vacation can be challenging for anyone. Lancaster Scuba Center simplifies taking a diving trip by organizing and leading group diving excursions well within driving distance of Pennsylvania. You could harvest lobsters on shipwrecks off New Jersey, dig for fossilized sharks’ teeth in the underwater gravel beds of South Carolina, snap pictures of tropical fish in the waters off North Carolina, or explore perfectly preserved shipwrecks in the crystal clear waters in the St. Lawrence River in Canada. Diving in the United States and Canada offers many diverse underwater environments to explore and activities in which to take part.
Traveling with Lancaster Scuba Center on a group diving excursion has many benefits.

Lancaster Scuba Center's dive vacations are organized by our Travel Center, we coordinate and book the necessary travel arrangements, lodging and dive services needed on each trip.
All dive excursions are led by one or more of our PADI Diving Professionals who have a personal knowledge of the regions where they lead their diving vacations.
Many divers like traveling with the Dive Professionals they have developed trusting relationships with through the classes they have taken at Lancaster Scuba Center.
We offer specialized diving courses before or during each trip so that you can be prepared for the unique diving conditions offered by that excursions dive sites.
Pre-trip meeting to prepare you with knowledge of the dive sites, the gear needed on the trip, and the itinerary to be expected during the trip.
Diving on group excursions with Lancaster Scuba Center are a great way to make new friends and create lasting relationships and memories.

Traveling as a diver internationally can bring you to the most adventure filled destinations in the world as well as the most tranquil locales on the planet. Lancaster Scuba Center has led diving excursions all around the globe including Bonaire, Fiji, Cozumel, Honduras, Yap, Guam, Curacao, Palau, the Bahamas, Australia, the Galapagos, Papua New Guinea, Saba, Belize, and many more destinations.
